This should work with the thread-blocking.

Administration -> Close threads -> Activate thread-closing: yes
and
Administration -> Close threads -> Thread-closing by message-id: 1

I never tried it with closing all threads (usually this function is for blocking answers to old threads), but maybe it works.

Or you give yourself a Regular-Account and disallow Write-Permissions for guests.
